6th Congressional Candidate Don Bates Jr. (R) will appear and be featured in a townhall at the Columbus Municipal Airport.
The Watchman will be there live, via Ustream, to bring you Live coverage of the event, if you are unable to attend. A one-on-one q&a will also take place and will be streamed live and recorded for future viewing.
Don Bates Jr. ran in 2010 for the Senate seat vacated by Evan Bayh. Don Bates proved to be a very good candidate in the race. So far, it is too hard to tell who will be the one to vote for in the race for the 6th Congressional District seat since so many people are expected to run. This is all the more reason to attend this meeting in person or on the Ustream tab above this post, or by clicking here.

So, how did he do? What's your take on Don?
ReplyDeleteHe's off to a great start. Very good to know that he came right out and said that he is a Christian, but he is not going to be using Jesus as a banner to get him into office. too many times I see some religious politicians who put God out there in the front. I find it offensive, personally as a Christian.
ReplyDeleteother than that, he understands separation of powers. He understands the debt crisis probably more than most in washington do. He is familiar with the financial sector since he has worked in it for a while now as a financial advisor.
There are still others who could pop up and will. I will have to reserve my decision until then. Don Bates would have been great in the Senate. I think he will be good in the 6th district.
you might also take a look at my interview with him. Less than 10 minutes and he covers quite a bit of ground. http://ustre.am/:17A5v
